Within the next three years, a globally-connected network of genetically-modified slime molds, exhibiting emergent sentience and surprisingly adept problem-solving skills, will unexpectedly propose a radical, albeit slightly unsettling, solution to climate change involving bioluminescent algae and a planet-wide fungal network.
